A classroom based shared poem based on Peepo! by Janet and Allan Ahlberg.
I was planning to use as a starter for writing our own poem, focussing on the rhyming words. We will be photographing areas of the classroom, and writing verses about them. Then laying a cut-out style window on top, and making the whole thing into a book.
Non-fiction book on (pet) rabbits. Designed either to be viewed on the interactive whiteboard or printed and made into a book for shared reading sessions. Could be used as a topic introduction or independent reading.

A powerpoint designed to be used in assembly or in class for PSHE/PSED. Discussion point on what stealing is, to consider the consequences of stealing, and think of others’ feelings.

Breaks down the typical development into Understanding, Expression, Speech and Social.
If using with EAL children, establish the typical development in their home language; if normal pattern, English should be obtained fairly easily. If home language delayed, there will be a delay in learning English. Very useful also for EYFS.

SSEHV stands for Sathya Sai Education through Human Values, a PSED teaching method in many schools. Based on core human values of Love, Peace, Truth, Non Violence and Right Conduct.
The SSEHV lesson brings on various elements - a quotation to talk about, a warm-up game, a silent sitting/meditation, a story and discussion/questions, a song, and then a game or activity.
This lesson plan has been put together to focus on non-violence, and basic respect of similarities and differences, and what we can learn from the peace loving plant eating dinosaurs.

A set of four motivational posters containing quotations from a variety of sources. Can be used in lessons or display a different quotation each day/week to inspire and motivate children to try their hardest.
A set of PowerPoint posters designed to motivate and inspire children. Could be used to support PSHE lessons, or to have one a week/day as a thought. Good for introducing Philosophy.
A set of 4 differentiated worksheets for children to draw happy and sad faces on Humpty Dumpty. Designed to be used as a PSHE/PSED lesson on emotions to tie in with the nursery rhyme.
Could also tie in with the KS1 SEAL Anti-bullying resources.
Pictures to be used for paired discussion. Children to study the picture carefully, and talk about it: What is the picture about? Who are the characters? What do you like about the picture? Imagine you are in the picture, who would you be? Where would you be? What are you doing? Designed to be used with R-time lesson Year 1 lesson 1.15.
